Their appearance can vary from pinpoint specks in the recipient area to a more generalized crusting, particularly if a significant number of grafts were implanted, and their presence is a positive indicator of the body’s natural wound healing response.

The formation of scabs is a direct consequence of the surgical process itself. During a hair transplant, whether FUE or FUT, tiny incisions are made to create recipient sites for the grafts. These incisions inevitably cause a small amount of bleeding.
